Inside Passage cruising - May 10

After entering Discovery Passage and then Johnson Strait during the night, we arrived off the northern tip of Vancouver Island about 6:30 in the morning May 10th.
This was what was behind us, a fog bank

This is what was ahead of us, clear skies.

We quietly cruised on until about noon when we hit a heavy bank of fog that we stayed in till about 4 Pmm, then the fog cleared and we had increasingly clearing skies as we travelled on through the night.

I spent the day wondering round the ship, taking a few pictures, sitting in the sun and doing some crosswords.

A few pictures from the ships interior.  It is all done in glass, lucite, chrome, silvery metals, soft filmy fabric drapings, and predominantly white color scheme.  There is a lot of glass used through out the ship, so you get great sight lines, vistas wherever you look and the whole place feels lite and airy.  So here are a few interior pictures
the Sky Lounge at the very front of the ship an the 14th floor - a great to sit or lounge of chaises ans you watch the scenery go by

then there is the Grand Foyer - running from the 3rd floor to the 15th floor - flanked by banks of elevators, also all glassed in AND there is a living tree suspended in a ball at about the 5th floor level.

Looking through the elevator doors into and through the back wall of the elevator cabins
